Kambra Deitz, MSW, LCSW-PIP, RPT-S is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Play Therapy-Supervisor practicing at Mindfulness Matters Behavioral Health, LLC, in Rapid City. She currently provides individual and family therapy to children, adolescents, and adults.
Kambra is interested in, and has experience with, a variety of challenge areas including anxiety, mood, ADHD, depression, trauma, grief, sexual abuse victims, domestic violence, low self-esteem, self-harm behaviors, anger management, assisting children affected by divorce, behavior management, attachment issues, personality disorders, and autism spectrum disorders.
Her specialties include trauma work utilizing Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral (TF-CBT) therapies. Kambra also specializes in directive and non-directive Play Therapy techniques and enjoys developing creative interventions tailored to meet individual needs, utilizing Child Centered, Adlerian, AutPlay and Experiential Therapies. Kambra also has experience with Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), both in group and individual settings with a focus on teaching healthy coping skills, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness.
Kambra has undergone specialized coursework and supervised experience to earn her RPT-S (Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor) distinction. She is one of only a few registered play therapists in Western South Dakota.
Kambra completed her undergraduate and Master’s degree from the University of North Dakota. Although, Kambra has lived most of her life in North Dakota she and her family are excited for the opportunity to live in Rapid City, SD.
